Leicester Regeneration Company has announced two new appointments as it begins delivery of the city’s masterplan for urban renewal. Dominic Browne has been promoted to development director and Hiren Vaitha has been promoted to development manager. Dominic will work alongside Steve Compton, LRC’s other development director. Together, the pair have responsibility for all five key projects in the city’s regeneration masterplan. Steve is heading the Waterside development while Dominic heads up the New Business Quarter, the Retail Circuit and the New Community. They share responsibility for Abbey Meadows, with Steve managing that site’s science and technology park and Dominic heading up its housing development. Chief executive John Nicholls said: “We have a team in place with the right experience of the property sector and a successful track record in Leicester.” Dominic, who joined LRC as a development manager earlier this year, brings more than 20 years’ property experience to his role. Hiren has worked in the property and development sector since graduating in land management in 2002. Leicester born and bred, he joined LRC in 2004. Steve started with LRC as Development Manager in June last year and was promoted to Development Director in December. He has 22 years’ experience in property management and development and was closely involved in the regeneration of central Birmingham.
