One of the less visible jobs LRC do is to help find new accommodation for businesses that have been displaced by our regeneration projects.
Our aim is to make sure jobs are safeguarded within the city, and to help these local businesses grow and prosper despite the circumstances.
Helping these companies find alternative accommodation is often a lengthy and difficult process.

One issue we are faced with is that there are many projects hitting deadlines at the same time, so there are lots of companies that need re-housing. It can be a huge task to prioritise who to help move out first.
Many companies want to stay in the city, as it is convenient for staff and customers. However there is a huge demand for city centre freehold properties so many companies have to take on leasehold premises instead.
There are affordability issues for some of the relocation companies especially for the smaller businesses whose existing premises are not worth as much as the new premises.

As you can see, the process of relocation is not easy! We try to ensure that we find the most suitable premises for companies within their budget. We are working closely with companies to identify suitable premises within their requirements and help make their move as smooth as possible.
